Golmal when you heard about this name you remember of amol palekar movie which is an outstanding movie.
Well about Golmal returns its a good movie. The punches are good and one thing while watching this movie, you have to keep your heads(mind) at homes. About the starcast : the star cast is not that great the first movie was having sharman joshi and people will really miss him in this movie , shreyas was not able to replace sharmans place and Tushar again proved that he is very good if he is not allowed to talk ;).Karena looks ok with comedy but the timing is not good.
It would have been better if they have chosen to go with the same star cast of golmaal. Also the movie is going to be compared with its first part , so where this will have to face a criticism.
For ex. if you watch spideman series , they have improved the quality by each movie.
I think the direction is good and the movie is also good but as compared to its first part it lacks in every aspect, but can be watched for a single time.
