Gondola is a small little restaurant tucked away in the Pali Mala road in Pali market Bandra. Once you enter the ambience kinda smiles back at you, not very dim and warm and comforting. It is a family restaurant, make no bones about that and the sound of chatter and loud laughter that wafts up from the tables around is not disturbing or rankling. The service is quick and the food is good.
They serve good sizzlers and mocktails although the sizzlers are priced a bit on the higher side. They don’t really make you complain. It’s a nice place to take your friends to celebrate a birthday, an acheivement at the office or something of that kind. NO BOOZE served which somehow didnt seem to be much of a problem.
They were playing Louis Armstrong when I dined there and the music was set at just the right volume.
