The plot revolves around the life of Scarlett OHara, daughter of the owner of a plantation farm at Tara. At 16, when the story begins, shes used to sweep men off their feet. She is not your docile and perfect heroine. But life is not a bed of roses for Scarlett OHara, she suffers heartbreak, deals with changes, did things women werent supposed to do. At 17, Scarlett becomes a widow with a small child from her first husband. After the Civil War ends, at the age of 20, Scarlett re-builds the family plantation, Tara, all on her own and takes care of her suffering father and sisters. And because of her courage and hard work, she gets back from poverty to being wealthy all over again.
