I havent used any mosquito repellents for 27 years, you may wonder why, my home has negligible number of mosquito and is easy to man handle them:-).
Also we have kept water filled in coconut shells and after four or five days we will drain it out killing larvae .
But these are not possible in cities. I just moved to a city which I am staying has a drainage near by, this summer the drainage flow has stopped and is now breeding ground for mosquitoes.
The smell (sweat) and heat of our body attract mosquitoes.
Last week my friend brought Good Night machine, I am always against it, because if it can harm mosquitoes now, prolonged use( because we are inhaling it) can harm our respiration/breathing especially babies.
I still remember I slept more than 9 hours after a first time use. We kept it in a closed room .
Drowsiness is another problem you feel, even a mosquito bites you you wont feel it, because you are in deep sleep .
Look for alternatives like-
> Mosquito repellent Ayurveda creams.
> Mosquito nets in windows.
> Mosquito nets over bed.
> Mosquito bats(you can kill them easily).
> Remove used clothes from bedroom.
> Close windows in the evening.
> Take bathe before you sleep.
> Smoke the room with neem leaves or coconut husk, close for some time open the windows for smoke to leave, this will keep mosquitoes away.
