I bought one box containing 30 mats of Good Knight mosquito repellent, but it did not repel any mosquito. The machine continued showing red light and mosquitoes continued to drink my blood. I examined the pack and was surprised to find no mention that Good Knight is a mosquito repellent.
It says on four sides of the pack:
Good Knight Silver Power,
New India’s first silver mat,
Sunset to sunrise,
Total protection.
On one side it says:
Place the mat with its silver side down,
Ensure the silver side is in contact with the hot plate of the machine,
Switch on the machine,
Absorbs heat better,
Ensures uniform release of active,
Sunset to sunrise protection.
On the remaining side it says in English and other languages:
Trallethrin 1.2% w/w mosquito mat, household insecticide, good knight 12 hour mat, chemical composition............, antidote treat symptomatically, direction for use see leaflet, and blah blah .........
Could you find any mention that this mat will repel mosquitoes.
What may be the reason(s) that the manufacturer has not clearly written that his product is a mosquito repellent? He says that his product is a domestic insecticide. I have many insecticides in my home and each one of them clearly mentions its use. But this product of Godrej does not clearly say that it is a mosquito repellent. WHY?
Is it because if I make a complaint that inspite of using this product I have been bitten by mosquitoes then Godrej will say that I have never claimed that Good Knight will repel mosquitoes? And I will be a looser.
Even if for argument sake, we agree that Good Knight is a mosquito repellent then its performance is no where near to repelling the mosquitoes. It is rather friendly to the mosquitoes.
Funny part is that I asked the shopkeeper for a mosquito repellent and he sold me Good Knight. (He also sold me a machine made by same company for getting better results.) I was also thinking that Good Knight is a mosquito repellent. But Godrej knows better.
It was a bad buy. It did not do the job for which it was purchased. It did not give me the value for my money. I lost many nights’ sleep.
