$600 is typical flagship phone money and may cut into Samsungs business, but I doubt it will get many from the Apple side except for those unhappy with the headphone jacks removal. Apple and Google still mostly appeal to very different customers, Apple to those more interested in ease of use, Google to those more interested in having a small computer they can tweak. Googles also at a disadvantage not having its own chain of stores to try to sell it to non-techies. It will be just another high end phone at the big stores, not something theyre really pushing. They should not forget to sell a mid-range Google branded phone, or theyll lose a lot of customers to other modifiable phones like the Oneplus line.
