It is really satisfying experience when things are short and sweet. Its always a saying in life. ’’ Life is Simpler and Easier when you make it Simple’’ that’s what GOOGLE is all about. Nothing Flashy about this terrific search engine as simple and as neat as possible. People have given lot of good review, its all because of Google because the more simplier it is the better words come out of your mouth.
If you are not designer carzy and believe in simplicity then Google will be your choice.
About Google
Google was founded by 2 Stanford University students, Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
They wanted to make a search engine which didn’t have much of graphics and with no animated graphics. Basically, these two developed a system that dissect websites for quality, as well as the importance of them. That way, it eliminates those sites that are no help to your search.
Google currently indexes an amazing 1, 326, 920, 000 pages for view. It now is also the main search tool for Yahoo as well.
Search Flow
Feeling lucky? To see another cool feature in action, click I’m Feeling Lucky after entering the keyword for your search instead of Google Search. Rather than seeing a list of links, you’ll be taken directly to the Web site of the first search result. After typing the user id asyis it took me directly to my ’’apnaguide.com ’’profile page saving me from reading through the typical list of possibly related links. Of course, this feature won’t be right every time, but when it is, it’s a real time-saver. If you don’t find the correct link using this method, simply click your browser’s Back button and click Google Search to look at more search results.
Design
When I say no graphics means really no graphics. Just drop in https://google.com on your web address and there you have a site with very little option to choose from.
There is no denying that its not a designers treat, it does look bland like a Chinese food. But it does solve the purpose.
Advanced Search
This allows you to iron down the specifics of your search (but most of the search engines offer this too). You can set it to find sites that specifically have a particular word, or you can have it exclude some words. Also, you can include and exclude different pages on different sites or domains. Better yet, you can set the specific language that you want your search in.
Other options like Language, Display
You can set your own language, you want the result on. There is also a setting for you to set the number of results you want brought back per page, 10, 20, 30, 50, and 100. Plus there is a filter that eliminates x-rated sites.
Affiliate Program
This a program which most of the search engine provides. Only thing is there are very few parameters or agreement to go with. The affiliate program will pay you 3cents for each search on your website. Here you can customize the process. But there are other options available. I had used google for my website where I wanted customization and they did allow me but I don’t get paid for that. The best part is you can call up the services and get lots of other customization done. Its really nice to have such a good search engine.
Google Tool Bar
This is one good feature which google has and it my fav. You have to download this bar and it rests on your IE or Netscape for quick access. The best part is you can have all your searches intact.
Advertising Instantly
Google AdWords is a simple and quick way to purchase highly-targeted advertising, regardless of your budget. Your AdWords text ads appear on search result pages for the keywords you buy, and can be targeted by language and country. So, to reach collectors of tin toys you might buy the keywords ’’toy collector, ’’ ’’tin toys, ’’ etc. But this comes with a “PRICE”
Finally Google Directory
It takes you to a page where all the categories are been segregated, into their respective section.
Conclusion: Its revival after all the graphical and ad based search engine. Full marks to Google on making such wonderful search tool.
