GJ Advani Law College as it is widely known as apart from GALC.
CAMPUS
College campus is being shared with RD National College, Bandra. Has a basketball and throwball court. Ample space for parking but only allowed to teachers. Students have to park their vehicles outside the premises.
INFRASTRUCTURE/FACILITIES
From outside looks little old as if a government office. Needs a little bit of innovative interior/exterior designing to make it look a bit aesthetic. Has the following facilities viz., College Office(Grd Flr), Computer Lab of National College(Grd Flr), Principles Room(1st Flr), Staff Room(1st Flr), Library(2nd Flr), Moot Court Hall(2nd Flr), Classes(3rd Flr). All the rooms are well ventilated with proper provisions of light and air circulation with good benches. Moot Court Hall can accommodate approx 200-250 students. Library is filled with law books, you ask for a book and you will get it.
ACADEMIC
Teachers are well knowledgeable. Guest Lecturers are plenty. Even if there is one student the class will go on. Attendance is a bit problem but then that every college has it. Teachers are always ready to guide you. Recently a guest lecture was organised where Advocate Ujjwal Nikam gave a beautiful lecture on "The Art of Cross Examination".
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
These are plenty. Generally they are organised in the month of January and February. A study tour to Delhi is also organised every year wherein you get a chance to visit Supreme Court, Parliament, Presidents House, and other law related places in Delhi. The college has various committees like Legal Aid committee, Student Council, Moot Court committee, Magazine committee, Cultural events committee, Sports committee, etc. The college extends a helping hand to all students for participating in various moot court competitions, cultural fests, other competitions, etc.
ALUMNI NETWORK
There is a yahoo and gmail group of Alumni where you can interact with them. I havent heard of any official way to interact with the alumnis.
ADMINISTRATION
It is a bit slow but then acceptable. Atleast they have the relevant information with them.
Currently am studying in First Year LLB. Review is based on 7 months of experience.
