I purchased an extended warranty for three products without using their service before, which was a mistake on my part. Yesterday, I used their service for the first time, and it was a terrible experience.
First, I raised a service request on 26/3, but the technician only visited on 30/3, despite multiple follow-ups. For essential appliances like an AC or refrigerator, the response time should be much faster. However, they claim that a 3-4 day turnaround is normal, which was never communicated upfront.
Second, they falsely advertise that they send company-certified technicians. In reality, they hire local technicians of very low quality. In Delhi NCR, a standard AC wet service costs ₹499, but they sent someone who charged only ₹300, which reflects the poor quality of service.
The technician did a careless job, spilling water everywhere, and then demanded ₹300 as a service charge. When I told him I had an extended warranty from GoWarranty, he said he had no idea about it. He even admitted he was just a local technician and insisted I pay him. After a 30-minute argument with his boss over the phone, he finally left without taking the money.
This shows the poor communication between GoWarranty and their service providers. Their claim of sending company technicians is completely false. Their service is unacceptable. They invest heavily in social media marketing and influencer promotions, but their service quality is nowhere near what they promise. Unfortunately, I fell for it.
Previously, I had an extended warranty with Onsitego, and everything went smoothly without any issues. I have no idea why I chose GoWarranty this time, and I deeply regret it. I feel completely stuck in this situation.
Guys, you seriously need to improve if you want to match the standards of other service providers. Also, stop sending untrained local techniciansits heartbreaking to see expensive appliances handled so poorly, and customers feel helpless because they are trapped in the extended warranty system.
