Just by having your resort next to Radisson, with decent infrastructure wont make you Radisson until your staff works on their soft skills and courtesy. Even though you might have done 10 good things for your customers but one bad experience/behavior will ruin all the good things done and something similar happened to me and my family during my stay.
Moved over to Grande Bay after staying 2 days in Radisson Blu with my family(wife and 2 young kids), warm welcome, little small but decently built property, decent rooms things were going fine, food was good. But the following things irked us to the core and forced me to write such a bad review:
-First day while checking in your staff tells me Sir, here are 2 water bottles and dental kit we dont provide by default but we can give if required.I was like wow.
-I had booked with MAP plan, having breakfast and dinner included, surprisingly dinner was not a buffet but it was a fixed menu with choices. To avoid wasting the food we ordered half portions of starters so that we can repeat if we like it. After that when we asked them to bring more, we were given weird looks and were told that as we are working with reduced staff due to COVID-19, it is getting delayed and they served the main course, the starters never arrived which clearly proves that there was no intention to bring it back. Kudos for such a trained staff.
-Worst thing happened while checking out, I was handed over a bill of Rs. 89 for one bottle of water provided during the dinner(without even us asking for the same) which was totally ridiculous. I mean after having a wonderful experience with Radisson and paying almost 75% rent for not even 50% of the experience, youll charge me for 1 extra bottle of water? And even if you charge, take it on MRP, 89 Rupees for one bottle of water? We didnt keep a count of how much water we were drinking and how many bottles we ordered in Radisson but we never paid a single penny extra for anything.
On confronting the manager, it was least expected that out of courtesy, we should speak politely and sort out the matter. But Mr Alexander the great, feeling himself of his name self, said Sir, you have to pay and we can charge any amount for the water as per rules and youll have to pay and all that. Its up to you sir, either you pay or Ill have to pay from my pocket. I never expected to hear such words from the staff of such a place which boasts of a 5 star experience. Doesnt even look like a 3 star property to me.
People choose such properties for the experience and expect courtesy from the staff and not for such a disrespectful behavior.
Because of this, I would never recommend anyone to visit this place because after everything, self respect is something which cant be compromised. First of all you are overcharging and looting customers for no reason and on top you are giving a bill without mentioning water in that, and then such a harassment, spoiled all the mood. Good that I chose this place towards the end of the vacation.
