I pursued BCA( 2010-2013) from Graphic Era University Dehradoon. It gave me the best times of my life.
Wows: -
Very proficient and experienced Faculties.
Labs are very well infrastructured with ample amount of systems and good experienced lab faculties.
Very nice infrastructer of the college. You get a feel of an awesome college.
The main attraction for all students is the fest called Grafest celebrated once in a year ( in april) . It.is 3 night fest with concerts of 3 bollywood celeb singers like Honey singh, Arijit etc per night.
Extra curicular activities like Basketball, cricket, football is also well supported with experienced coaches and a nice play ground.
Management is better than all other colleges I know.
Very good campus placement with infamous MNCs like Wipro, Infosys, TCS etc. I got placement in Wipro Technologies.
BCA faculties are more knowlegable and helping. Some of them have worked in MNCs so they guide u in a right direction as well.
They value their alumni. We had a yearly meet last year in Bangalore at Lila Palace a very well known 5 star hotel in India.
The chairman Kamal Ghansala has a heart for students not for the money. He lives for his student and the college.
Ouchs: -
Management should be more active. Many of them are sleepy heads.
Parking facility is not good.
Very less printers which leads to long queues during peak times.
Less WiFi bandwidth allocated per student.
Employees should also get some focus as I have seen faculties, Hardware and network engg. and all crying for very less hikes.
Chairmans Wife Rakhi ghansala should learn some manners. She has a very bad history of harrasing students by giving harsh punishments for not standing in her honour when she passes by some places like garden, canteen etc. Very mannerless and egoistic lady.
It had few bullies students who knew a person called Col. Known as right hand of Chairman. They used to act like king and fought with anyone.
Bus facility is bad.
Pressurised us to buy costly dress from college itself of a brand called Libas.
Should you join it?
I did BCA and it was a wonderful time of my life. A Big Yes.
