I was not born at the time when charles was writing this great book nor I read this book before coming to this world.!
But still find my story in it not only me every one with some expectation has a part of the same story. The one who love some one and can’t tell her b/c he think he is not made for her and want to be more to be able for some one is like PROVIS (main character of the novel).
Provis love Estella but she was rude he want to became a gentleman to impress her that was his great expectation which comes true when he become young by the help of an escaped prisoner who was impressed by PROVIS sympathy.
But his expectation made him selfish he know he is selfish to his family to everyone and it was wrong to be selfish but he was selfish. Dicken was able to lighten the truth of every one life who is inlove with someone and want her at any cost. I am selfish to same like provis know its wrong but I am. Just watch your own character if you are a lover aren’t u provis.
You are b/c this is the great expectation great feeling every one feels the same in love and thinks the same. The novel is perfect and recommended for reading
