Romantic songs rendered in an even more romantic and melodious manner by a duo...that’s Air Supply!!
Way back in 1989, a very close friend of mine (coincidentally also with initials ’LL’) had given me a cassette of Air Supply...and those tunes grew on me...MAKING LOVE OUT OF NOTHING AT ALL....LOST IN LOVE...HERE I AM....EVEN THE NIGHTS ARE BETTER....EVERY WOMAN IN THE WORLD....these were some of my favourites, and my liking for this duo just kept growing.
Even as I write this, I have headphones on with Air Supply playing...just to get me in the right frame of mind for doing this re-review!
I close my eyes to feel their music, and I am transported to an evening on a beach...watching the sun set into the sea, feeling the sand beneath my naked feet as I walk to meet the waves. Alone I wander on the beach, tossing shells back into the sea as I go back over some of those treasured moments with some loved one...moments I wish I never had to let go! ’I just can’t live without you...I miss everything about you. Just when I thought I was over you...just when I thought I could stand on my own...oh baby those mem’ries come crashing thru...’.
There is a kind of sadness in their music--the lyrics, the kinds of songs they sing, the way they sing it...I guess that is why an out-and-out romantic like goes crazeee over Air Supply!...a sense of loss of a loved one...a deep longing for someone who may never be yours...a secret love of someone who probably never even noticed...!!
If you are looking for nice, slow, soothing music for a quiet evening...or even if you are in a ’’tossed around mercilessly by the waves of love’’ kind of mood, try this out! I am not sure which album the songs I have mentioned above belong to as I have never bought an album of theirs...but they are songs I recommend. Below is a list of songs of theirs that I love to listen to. Am sure you will love them too if you are my type!

I can wait forever...if you say you’d be there too... and then again, ...I’m lost in love and I dont know much... Also, ...now and forever, remember the words from my heart will always be true! and ...dont say the morning’s come so soon...must we end this way when so much here is hard to lose... Then, ...my heart always seemed to drift from day to day, looking for the love that never came my way...the moment that we touched, I knew that there would be...two less lonely people in the world!
