Still great to listen too

Advantages: brilliant nostalgia trip

Disadvantages: only for Duranies

Your opinion Edit

Do you remember the eightie’s with the pouting red lips and the make-up so thick you could scrape it off with a trowel, and that was just the boys. One boy I can remember in particular was Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran my personal favourite from way back then.

Ok I admit it hands up youv’e sussed me I was duranie and proudly so.

When the greatest album came out three years ago I rushed out to buy it with realish and I proudly held it out to the spotty youth behind the counter who tried hard not to giggle.

I thanked him for the purchase and rushed home to put it on.

When I arrived home the house was empty for a change and I danced and sang my heart out for hours.

Anyway enough of that you want to know what’s on the album don’t you?

  1. Is there something I should know

Please please tell me now.

A great dance record which is one of there best great to sing along to and make a fool of yourself over.

  1. The reflex

fle-fle-fle-fle flex

I still remember this upbeat song and the video which went with this where the water came out of the screen brilliant song.

  1. A view to a kill.

The theme tune to the James Bond film of the same name. Not one of my favs I usually fast forward this track.

  1. Ordinary world.

One of the newer songs they released after all the fame and fuss had died down. At this point the band split up and Rodger and Andy Taylor did there own thigs.

  1. Save a prayer.

My favourite duran duran track. A slow but moving song and one of there best.

  1. Rio

Everybody knows the words to rio and if you don’t you’re either too young or lying. A brilliant tune and a fast one.

  1. Hungry like the wolf.

this is a fairly fast and a great song and written at the height of there career.

  1. Girls on film.

The follow up to Planet earth and the second song released by Duran Duran. a great song about the fashion world and models.

  1. Planet earth.

The first song released and one of the best a fast moving track guarenteed to get you singing along with it.

  1. Union of the snake.

Another of my favourites and another slightly faster track but not to fast.

  1. New moon on monday.

My second favourite song and a slower song with meaning and depth.

  1. Wild boys.

A different style and Simon Le Bon’s voice on this track is simply amazing. I can still picture the Mad Max type video another classic.

  1. Notorious.

My least favoutire song. I usually skip this one and move along to the next. Not one of there best.

  1. I don’t want your love.

Not a ballad as you would expect but not a good song either below the standard that you would expect from Duran Duran.

15.All she want’s is

A totally different song that might just convert some Duranie haters out there.

16.Electric Barbarella.

This song was written in the honour of the cult film Barbarella after whom Duran Duran took there name. A good song somewhat teckie.

  1. Serious.

A crap song (did I just say that) one to listen to one just to decide if you like it or not then fast forward the next time.

  1. Skin trade.

Another favourite of mine and a more recent one. Brilliant song recommended by me personaly.

  1. Come undone

Last but certainly not least, the best of the laster stuff and a somewhat deeper song that makes you think.

Phew thats me all done please be gentle with me as it is my first music review but on the whole a great album for all you Duranies out there and who knows if your not you might actually like it.
