Pls avoid Greenline Travels(V R Different) based at bangalore and website is greenlinetravels.com. Recently I had visited Tirupathi through greenline package.
The package timing was from 09:00 pm of first day till 09:00pm of next day.
The package included trip to tirupathi through ac volvo, refreshment hotel, morning breakfast, lunch with free pick up from marathalli.
While booking(one week in advance) they had promised me about the pick up bus from marathalli, bangalore to the KR Puram where the main bus stops.
On the day of travel they cancelled the pick up bus citing no reasons and asked me to travel through my own means to the main bus stop at krpuram.
The bus was volvo but it was an old one and was vibrating a lot like ordinary bus and that made the tour
very tiring and not worth for the volvo price.
In the morning at 2:30 we reached the refreshement hotel which was some private hotel good looking from outside but very bad from inside.
Rooms were spacious but were in very bad condition and dirty with no lights in bathroom.
There was no soap in the dingy bathroom, and overall weird and unhelpful staff.
The bed sheets were very dirty to even lie down and we kept sitting on it at one edge to avoid ants all over it.
There were ants all over the room and on beds and so we could not take rest.
We were given just 30 minutes for refreshment which was too less for 3 people in a room.
After this we were taken to tirupathi and we joined the 300/- queue at 04:30am. To add to our woes the
temple was closed for visitors till 08:00 am as some vip was visiting in the morning. So we waited in the queue for more then 3 hours.
After that we visited tirupathi temple(the worst queue management I have seen in my life is at tirupathi)
and stepped out of temple by 11:30 am.
The guide was ready there to take us all back to bangalore.
As there was a lot of time available people requested the guide to allow us all to give some more time so that we could just stroll out of the balaji temple for which the guide readily refused.
He even refused to provide us the breakfast and asked us to get the breakfast on our own and he will
refund the money(30/- limit) for breakfast for each person.
So people took the breakfast themselves.
After packing all the tourist back into the bus we were taken back to the horrible hotel( where we had morning refreshment) for lunch. We were now not allowed to go into the rooms back.
The hotel was very dirty and covered with flies on all the tables.
we were given very limited food. The quantity of the food served was so less that it looked like a
breakfast. The quality of the food served was also the worst. Even the beggars out of temples are served better quality food.
The hotel staff was not even switching on the fans readily. After some persuasion thre to four times the
staff used to switch on the fans at the lowest speed.
The staff serving the food were so unclean that it looked like some beggars were serving us the food.
On complaining to the guide he was very rude and had heated exchanges with many passengers.
By 04:30 pm we were back at Bangalore almost 5 hours before the scheduled tour end timing.
It was a complete wastage of customers money.
When greenline travels is treating volvo passengers so badly then I wonder how more badly they will treat ordinary bus passengers.
So requesting people to avoid greenline travels in all possible ways.
