My Tea Garden:Earthworm the vital force of earth

Earthworm the healing force of earth. In my view , the soil with earth worm is the soil with life and the life that grows in this kind of soil would not require any external nourishment(manually feeding).

In other words the chemical fertilizers that we use in farming kill the life of the soil and make the soil dead in the long run. The ideal world that I could envision is the one with all the fertilizer factories replaced with the equivalent of nutrition producing earthworms.

Though the awareness of the bad effects of inorganic farming is made known to the public still a stigma is attached to the adoption of organic farming by the people actually involved in farming.

This mainly owes to the misconception that the yield is decreased by adopting organic method. A lot of products which are equally effective and can immediately replace all chemical pesticides and fertilizers are commercially available.

I have attempted to elicit some of the commercially available organic products; viz

  1. PANCHAKAVYA (5 products from a milking cow).

  2. Vermicompost

  3. BD-compost

  4. BD components as BD-500 to BD-507.

And these in effect can replace their inorganic counterparts without any ill effects to the soil, products and environment.

Keep watching this space and another related post of mine https://mouthshut.com/diary/jfbcuprln/ORGANIC-CONVERSION-AN-EXPERIMENTAL-JOURNEY as I update my practical account with organic farming.
