I am online shopping enthusiast and have been placing my orders from most of the Indian online shopping websites and some international online web stores as well. I have never had any bad experience until a few days ago.
When I received an order from GREENDUST dot com. I placed my order(Order # 22444201) for a refurbished Blackberry Tablet thinking that Greendust would fulfill its claim made for their refurbished products "Refurbished products are products professionally restored to its original working condition and are being resold". I received the product with a lot of issues.
Even the back panel was quite loose. It seems it has been repaired at some local electronics store than by any professional or at an authorized repair center. It was shipped with just a power adapter with no other accessories. Power adapter was of the US standard, luckily I have a USA to Indian power plug converter to make use of that adapter. Keyboard was not working properly on it, some portions of the touch screen are non responsive. It took good 10 hours for the battery to charge.
I even upgraded the OS to the latest available for it. Even then the Keyboard and touchscreen issues were not resolved. I tried to play some youtube video on it and found only the sound was playing but video was stuck at on frame. I thought it was my internet, I ruled that out by playing the same video on my laptop without any issue.
I reported the same to greendust via email and asked them to arrange for a reverse pickup. I never got any reply from them. I called them twice and was told that the issue will be escalated. I talked to the supervisor "Abhishek" who said he has got my email and was about to call me, which I doubt was the case. Anyway, he said he will forward the compliant to the Vendor and asked me to wait for a day. It has been three days since I received the darn product which has already been packed and waiting for someone to pick it up.
I called them again today and they said that they will charge me 10% restocking fee. Why should they rip customers for their silly mistake?
Today, I have been told by Abhishek to wait until 24th. As he expects the reverse pickup would be initiated and fulfilled by 24th. I do not need the replacement. I am done with greendust and want a Full refund. I warn everyone to refrain from placing orders from Greendust. They do not honor their words. Greendust will soon settle down to dust with the type of bad business they are doing.
