Never ever buy

I had originally written the below review about two weeks back. Now I must say that I am inclined to change my review as I got a call from Mr Tarun who helped me arrange my refund within 2-3 days of me receiving the call. It would seem that while some seniors in the organization are concerned about customer experience, there are some who are not doing their work so effectively.

I must say that my satisfaction has increased a few notches since this latest positive experience.

Greendust - the name itself has it - its nothing but dust and the way it treats its customers, it is going to go down the dust pretty soon. Their customer care and response is the worst and most pathetic I have ever seen from anyone. 3 months now and they cannot even refund em the money for the product that they have reverse pick up 3 months back...!!!

Well to let others know of what and how it began - I bought a Haier Geyser from thiir site after confirming from customer support who told, either it would have minor scratches, or may not have original packing or may have manual missing. When the product was delivered it was a case of no original packing, missing manuals and no warranty card and major major scratches. It was obvious the product is second hand and not factory seconds. Immediately we called their customer support and who assured us that a reverse pick-up would be done. After a week the pick-up was still not done. We called again and the response was our Sir is not coming to office and we need his authorization to do the reverse pick-up. Finally came the authorization, and the reverse pick-up was done after about 2-3 weeks of chasing.

Then started the nightmare. Since this day we have been calling their customer care and the girl, though understands our problem, cant help. Its not her, she is trying to do her job well. But tell me how can customer support run if such companies are managed more like ’Baniye Ki dukaan’ rather than a professionally managed organization. We were told they need the authorization for the cheque, we kept waiting. Finally after 3 months they now tell us your cheque is on hold.

Everytime she assures us, I’ll get the finance guy to give you a call to explain why it is on-hold and no call ever comes. It has become a routine to call up their customer care everyday and go through this pain every day.

I seriously want everyone to be aware and to save a penny or two don’t fall in trap of green dust. You don’t know if you will lose your money itself or if you will receive a second hand product in the name of Factory seconds.

Countdown continues as I still await my refund. What is more concerning is just a month back, Greendust managed to bag VC funding for $40Million. Don’t know how...!!!!!!

So beware and stay happy - avoid greendust.
