Considering the kind of time and effort we spend on grocery shopping each month, I decided to do it online this time. I found grocerywaale.com through a pamphlet in the newspaper and decided to try them out. The portal allows me to search items through their search box, which means I don’t have to surf pages and pages of products to reach mine. It allows me to customize my list and once I am done picking my items, I can modify them if need be at the checkout step. The website also has great offers on discounts. I got a 1.5 ltr coke free with my purchase of greater than 1000.
On my total bill, I ended up saving Rs. 377/- which is a lot more than my last months shopping at Auchan. (if you were to add the effort spent to drive there, park, lug the trolley around and unload it back to my second floor home, the saving is a lot more). If you compare prices you can actually see the difference. At checkout, the website allowed me to choose the date and time of delivery which I think is very cool coz you don’t have to wait around for the delivery to come. The delivery happened promptly at 1030 am today. The delivery person helped me take out the stuff and also tally it with the bill. He carried the cold items in a separate case with ice packs so my butter and cheese came in perfect condition.
I am absolutely impressed with their service and have already recommended them to my friends as well.
