Let me start by telling that I have travelled to a lot of countries and places inside India. Have been to lots of resorts and hotels so I am aware of the "service standards" which I should except.
I bought 2 coupons from groupon for Goldfinch Retreat, Bangalore. The flashy advertisement and fabricated photoes on their website fooled me and I bought the deal. 799/- for lunch, 1 outdoor activity which I did not get(Paintball, zorbing, bike riding. etc) and evening snacks(again, I did not get it). Now, I have been to around 7 resorts in Bangalore and pretty much had high expectations. The hotel was horrible and service was even more worse. The hotel staff were rude, unapologetic and dishonest. The experience was terrible and I left the place in mere 3 hours. I hated the stay at Goldfinch retreat.
Now what is the fault of groupon? I paid 799 bucks and only got a shitty lunch. They provided 1 dal, 2 veg dishes, 1 chicken and pullaw and Ice-cream which we get in road-side carts.
Now groupon, go out and see. You get lovely buffets for Rs. 500 and the shitty meal which I got costs no more than Rs. 200 in any restaurant. So stop fooling people by showing you are giving discount. You are ripping people OFF. The last time I used groupon. really!
