Oh for the good old days. Days of polyester leisure suits, long sideburns, big fat print ties worn with floral shirts. The days of teased hair, black eyeliner and white lipstick, worn with floral mini skirts and white go go boots.
That is what Game Show Network is! An absolute blast from the past.
You can see Dick Clark, Bill Cullen, Bob Eubanks, Gene Rayburn, Wink Martindale, Allen Ludden and all the rest of the old game show hosts at their peak. And dont forget to watch Richard Dawson kiss each and every female contestant on , Family Feud.
You can watch the Newlywed Game, both versions, the one from the 60s and the newer version from the 80s and try to guess whos still married.(From some of their answers, I doubt if many stayed married long after the show aired!) Tune in to the Dating Game and see which stars were on the show trying their luck(and getting publicity). I remember the show with Tom Selleck!(And I dont think he was chosen) Watch Charles Nelson Reilly and Bret Sommers harrass each other on The Match Game. Check out the old Hollywood Squares or Card Sharks and even The Gong Show (and The Extreme Gong Show). You can also watch a half hour of the only new (I think) show on the Gameshow Networtk, Inquizition. The fore runner of the Millionaire type shows (for a lot less money!)
Give yourself a treat. Spend some time back in the 60s and 70s, when breasts were referred to as upper frontals and people had fun on the shows because the stakes werent in the millions of dollars.
People would be happy to go home, the big winner, with A brand new 19 color television instead of the prizes on todays shows like A 19 foot motor boat and trailer towed by their new car to their new summer cottage and 1 million dollars to spend.
So sit back, pop some popcorn, and enjoy yourself, watching a blast from the past.
(OMG ! Did I really dress like that back in those days????)
