Im not going to exaggerate it. As you can read 9k+ other negative reviews, it should make sense not to buy this service. You will even think for a second that satisfied consumers will never come to this website to give a positive review. Its just these unsatisfied customers who are having a bad experience with this service. Well, its not like that, the fact is every single GTPL Broadband customer is disappointed by GTPLs service. I also assume that people who are giving 4 and 5 stars to GTPLs service are simply GTPLs employees.
Let me tell you about my experience.
Context: I was in urgent and compulsory need of broadband, as I was working from home. There was no other option for me but just simply opt for whatever service is available in my area.
Ok, now let us start with the selling guy, you may buy service from GTPLs official website, but I didnt do it that way, as I was looking for some recommendations on whether I should buy it or not. So, I found my nearby Internet Service Provider on Google. He was providing two services Tikona and GTPL. He said, "Sir Tikona aapke area mai available nahi hai, you should opt for GTPL". Ok, now I have already checked if Airtel, Jio, or VI any of these guys are providing Fiber service in my area or not, and no their service was not available in my area (Odhav, Ahmedabad). So, that establishes that GTPL had Monopoly in my area. And, that means that they dont have any competition, so that pretty much makes sense that they dont have to make effort to make their customer happy. Let me even tell you the name of the guy, who sold me the service. His name is Sunil Singh Tomar. He told me things like "Sir aisi service denge, aap bhi yaad rakhoge".
Now, when I call him, he rarely even respond, and when he responds he says things like Sir aapne complaint place kiya. Sir aap complaint place karo 24 ghante mai problem resolve hoo jaayega. And, then after hours, the issue is back, I am not lying, this is a true experience with GTPL.
If youre looking for some pointers, here are some:
-Obviously, connection problem, say 12 days per month, to resolve which youll have place complaint/call help center/mail them, so on and so forth.
-Technician who comes to resolve the issue, half of the time, even he doesnt have an idea, what to do, because types of equipment are of bad quality.
-Following the previous point, I want to tell you my first router got replaced in 14 days, they use very bad quality equipment, even in DP which is going to be installed on your terrace.
So, in conclusion, use your slow 4G mobile data, or find yourself a good internet service provider, but dont make the mistake of buying GTPL Broadband Service.
