Well, the GTPL seemed a monopoly brand of Gujarat. This impression might be because it’s headquartering in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. However, it is not the case when you look at the span of networked services in providing Digital Cable TV & Broadband are considered.
NOTE: I am not here to recommend the brand. Rather, I wished to write my authentic opinion about the provider that I had for a short period.
I was a user of the provider by chance. Of course, I used their cable network for a short period of 3 years. This is because the distributor in our locality in Pune had totally shifted his business from GTPL to a new entrant. We had to go with the agency decision and thus discontinued the cable service. I remember the channels in the GTPL plan were worth the price we were paying. Also, the local channels they provided in the “entertainment” basket were rare in the collection. To make it more clear, we had a dedicated channel for old movie songs, uninterrupted; we enjoyed it. The multi-system-operator(MSO) -GTPL Hathway, achieved a good name serving cable television and broadband services since 2006 to more than 500 towns in 10 states in India. Of course, Gujrat remains a big share. The services in the rest of the states are admirable. The company offers high-speed broadband internet services to residential and small business for convenient rate plans. Their Gigabit passive optical network(GPON) Fibre to Home Technology(FTTH) supports fiber optical cables more than 25, 000 km.
Overall, the performance is on par with average service providers around. The customer service is not bad. For those struggling to seek stable service and who can not afford a big brand, GTPL is the best alternative! It’s up to you, your status, locality, and your wallet:)
