Finally ended up renting the DVD and watching this movie with my wife yesterday. The movie is definitely worth watching at least once. There is not much of a plot to this movie, other than Simon Green (Kutcher) is white and Theresa (Saldana) is black. But somehow the director is able to pull it off. Much kudos to Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. They seemed to bond pretty well.
Most of the situations are somewhat cliche and ordinary. Nothing to write home about. But what the hell. Its a light comedy and definitely not meant to be soul searching or anything like that. Guess Who must have borrowed heavily from the other movie Meet the Parents. Bernie Mac plays the protective father role perfectly. He has Kutcher on the defensive pretty much from the get go. Kutcher for his part, plays the affable guy trying to win over his future in-laws.
I guess I would have to recommend this film. If you are looking for a light laugh, then this is a must rent / see movie.
