I have been regularly visiting Gulati at Pandara Road in New Delhi for the past three years. I have had a couple of birthday and anniversary dinners here. Their food is just AWESOME in my opinion. I love their Amritsari Fish Tikka. Its so juicy and succulent. And I always have their chicken dum biryani. I love its whole packaging. It comes in a match(a clay pot) sealed with a roti to provide the dum. The waiter cleanly opens the sealed lid and the smell of great biryani is enough to make your mouth water.
The waiters at Gulati are very polite and very sweetly serve you food, if you want. The staff does not bother you constantly and gives you your space and privacy. The ambience of the restaurant is very warm. The menu is pretty extensive but the prices on a slightly higher side. But this shouldn’t matter because the taste and quality of the food is worth every penny.
I just wish they had more infrastructure to accommodate the huge clientele they receive, especially on weekends. They should have more tables and chairs so as to reduce the waiting time and serve more guests at once.
Do try Gulati’s once if you are in New Delhi. You won’t regret it.
