Hi guys, I would like to share my travel experience with the national airline of Bahrain called Gulf Air. There are only a handful of Airlines having Mumbai-Bahrain direct flights. So I decided to book my ticket on Gulf Air as they operate direct flights between Mumbai- Bahrain. The check-in counter staff is not a Gulf air staff in Mumbai and these activities are handled by a third party ground handling company. So they work at their own pace. I had a E-visa for Bahrain, which the check in staff took almost over 15 minutes to check if the visa was genuine. It took me almost 20 minutes at the counter to get my boarding pass. The cabin crew seem to treat all economy class passengers as labour class as there was no greeting on entering the aircraft by the crew and absolutely no respect for their passengers. I come from an aviation industry, so I found this absolutely questionable behaviour by the cabin crew. Seating space is OK for economy(A-321 Aircraft) and the seats are comfortable. My co-passenger was requesting for water from quite some time when we were cruising and finally he got it on the 3rd request. We departed and arrived on time but I had to wait for my bags to arrive for 30 minutes at the arrival hall. Bahrain airport handles very few flights at a given time, even then they cannot manage to deliver the bags on time. They just do not care as the airline is owned by the royal family .Gulf air is a highly mismanaged airline of Bahrain and they are now taking necessary steps to curb losses and getting things back together.
