It was in 2006 I first traveled to bahrein and dubai to attend a 7 day conference. Since this was not a very urgent or deadline oriented trip, I chose to opt for an aconomy option ( not a direct flight but a connecting flight that is from mumbai to bahrain and bahrain to dubai ).
The first flight was GF 57 in the morning from mumbai to bahrain. The cold behavior is the first thing you notice as soon as you enter the aircraft.
I assume the reason behind this could be most of the passengers do small & odd jobs in kuwait, riyad, doha or quatar like cleaning airports, toilets, construction work etc. and belong to a humble background.
Obviously the cabin crew treats everyone alike. What a pathetic experience. Irrespective of your class and background, you deserve a professional treatment with warmth and smile.
After all you are not travailing for free or they are not doing a favor to you by allowing you to travel with the airline. You definitely deserve a better treatment.
Food etc. is not worth mentioning. The only thing it reaches you in time.
Now about the second flight FG 1008. This was good. Better seating, better aircraft, better & courteous cabin crew. Good food. But you have to accept one thing that is racism. Nobody behaves oddly but you can feel the difference in the way they treat Indians over all.
The coming back part is no different. The check-in counter is the first place you experience racism. The tend to take you for granted.
As a nature lover and fond of scenic views, I always reach airport a little earlier to get a window seat. This time too I reached dubai airport before many others and went straight to check in counter to ensure my window seat. I was told the flight was full and I will get a window seat in bahrain-mumbai flight.
Once I reached inside aircraft I found it half empty. I was surprised why I was not given a window seat.
later when I was on my wat from bahrain to mumbai, my widow seat did not have a window
Overall a no no if you do not have other options or a tight budget.
