Gumrah: End of Innocence is an Indian crime television series that started airing from March 2012 on Channel V India. The show presents crime related incidents committed by young people. The series is produced by Ekta Kapoor[2] under her banner Balaji Telefilms & ALT Entertainment in collaboration with Vikas Gupta of A Lost Boy Productions.[3]
The show went on air on Channel V India on March 11, 2012 airing weekly with rebroadcasts on Channel V India, Star Plus. The second season, it began broadcasting daily.[4] Season 3 started airing from 7 July 2013. The opening episode was co-anchored by Chitrangada Singh and Karan Kundra. Season 4 was hosted by Abhay Deol who was replaced by Karanvir Bohra.Season 5 started on March 22, 2015 which is hosted by Karan Patel
The show won Best Crime/Thriller Show at 12th Indian Television Academy Awards.
The Show is about an aspiring 17-year-old actor Rohan Shah whose role model is Karan Kundra. He goes to the balaji office for an audition of Gumraah and gets selected. In the meantime he gets to go in Kundra’s party(organised by Soumya Seth to reunite Kundra and Kittoo) with a friend and not knowing about Kundar’s and Kittoo’s(Kritika Kamra) breakup plays a cd having their past memories to wish them anniversary which angers Kundra. In the same party Sara Khan turns out in a bikini to grab media attention and plays a large part in helping Rohan play that cd. The next day Sara is shocked to see the newspapers filled with the breakup news rather than her bikini pics. The story then covers the life and struggles of various celebrities from Rohan’s point of view.
