Guns N Roses ’’ is a weekly show on Star One on the 10 pm slot.It is the story of star-crossed lovers Devya and Rohan. To give an overview, Devya is a happily married woman expecting her first kid with her loving husband Kunal.
One unfortunate day, Kunal is murdered by a contract killer and its a case of mistaken identity. Devya loses everything- her husband and even her child due to a miscarriage in a state of shock. She finds a card of the Mafia Don Parshuram Bardez by her husband’s body which takes her to the journey of ruthless revenge. She sets out for a town around Goa which Parshuram Bardez rules .
The problem for Devya is that though he is the owner of whole of Barangali(the town), nobody has ever seen him except for the top guy of the organaization, Alfred. Still, Devya forms a team of three dangerous women- herself, Angie ( a restaurant owner and estranged wife of one of Bardez’s important links) and Sim ( a professional criminal) and together they find chinks in Bardez’s formidable organization and wreak havoc.
Devya wants to destroy Parshuram Bardez, his business, his every possessions and ultimately his life.
Problem is that Parshuram Bardez is no one else but Angie’s closest friend and Devya’s new prospective love interest, Rohan, the local singer.
For the people of Barangali, he is a sweet, happy-go-lucky generous and innocent boy next door but behind this veil of innocnce lies the imposing and ruthless persona of a sophisticated criminal mind- sharp, shrewd, calculating, conniving , sly and extremely intelligent. He is the sole heir to the criminal and awe-inspiring legacy of the Bardez family.Rohan or rather Bardez is falling for Devya inspite of Alfred’s warnings and Devya is slowly destroying his empire unaware of the fact that the very Rohan she relies on is the person she wants to finish off. Even Rohan is unaware of Devya’s purpose.
Thus, begins an interesting cat-mouse game where each one of them is unknowingly trying to outdo each other.Only one will win and winning won’t be easy!
Impressive plot and great work by the lead actress who plays Devya and the supporting cast is very good, especially Angie and Sim.The greatest drawback is the actor playing the male protagonist , Parshuram Bardez.
Parshuram Bardez’s character required someone in the lines of ’’classic manhood’’, somebody with an imposing, authoritative and aristocratic charisma.Though the actor is fine, it is difficult to accept him as the formidable Bardez. Besides, he seriously needs to do something about his dialogue delivery.He plays impulsive and immature while Bardez is exactly the opposite.
Basically, its an interesting soap if you ignore these flaws. I am waching it only to see how the plot unfolds when Devya and Bardez/ Rohan come to know about the true faces of each other.
