After hearing a lot of appraisal from different people including Amitabh, yesterday I watched GURU. Overall it was a good movie with great direction, presentation, acting, music etc. Now in short I want to express my feelings after I watched this film –
1. Abhishek totally tried to copy his father in acting, body language, facial expression and dialogue delivery.
2. It was totally a one sided film.
3. The film gives a wrong message at last. It promotes smuggling, corruption and dowry.
4. Aishwarya doesn’t has much to do and during the court scene where she got little opportunity she could do little.
5. Mithun and Madhavan were the plus point of this film with natural acting skills. Vidya Balan was OK.
6. Mallika was looking sexy in dance number.
7. At the end of the film, it creates a lot of confusion and depression regarding - is that the way to rise and achieve success in your life.
Overall media and specially Amitabh tried to create unnecessary hype regarding the acting of Abhishek and tried to fool people by their ambitious and untruthful comments.
