A true revealation of Dhiru Bhai's life

I was seeing many reviews on TV and somewhat Amitabh ji promos motivated me and my son to watch this movie, same day but timings  and venues were different. Lucknow’s Wave in East End mall is nice auditorium to watch good movies. The direction of Mani Ratnam was superb and also A R Rahman first time did not use south indian tunes but as per the back ground of Gujarat, songs  were worth listening and choreography too. After many years I liked Ashwarya in her role.Likewise the begining of the life of Late Dhiru Bhai’s life movie starts well but Guru playing gamble and later on working in petrolium line in Istanbul did not leave much impact. Stroy starts with the young boy moves to Turky and later on after few years returns to Bombay to start his own business.

The appreciable thing was his confidence- jabardast aatmvishvas, which led him to fight on various occassions. I liked the scene when he moves to Golf Court to meet the President of a Dalla Market of spinning On insistance by Guru Bhai to give him clearance letter to operate in the market, he humourously asks him  to place the golf ball in the h o l e and Guru Bhai picks up the ball in hand and drops in the h o l e. A humourous scene was it and the President asks him tocome to his office for the permission letter. The fact was that when he approached in his ofice, he not only refused to hand over his conscent letter but misbehaved him and pushed off from his office gate.Later on Guru Bhai meets owner of a press Bengali Bhai Mithun Chakraborty who helps but later becomes hostile when he finds that his newspaper was misutilised for the personal gain by Guru Bhai and the rivalary continues till the end.

Paralytical attack scene in the old house of Guru Bhai and the acting of Ash and Abhishek starts to superb line the best part. The enquiry commission which looks like seven judge bench of the court looks awkward and the lecture before press and media by Guru Bhai and his arguments does not impress anybody, which shows that the laws are irrevelant where the growth of thebusiness empire is concerned.Guru Bhai challenges the Customer & Excise Department and completes his speech in4.5 minutes and saves 30 seconds. But  is it the real life presentation of  Dhiru Bhai Ambani who did care many laws and but many  a times did not but also utilised  his political connections specially in Rajiv Gandhi regime.

This led a question before all of usWhether industrial growth of the country can not be made rapidly like Ambanis who kicks law on their toes.I think it is truth as Inspector Raj really stops industrial growth and our taxation  system is so complicated that atleast all business men and industrialist can not grow their empire.I think single point taxation on manufacturing is the answer instead of so many which leaves loop h o l e s to them , causing tax earning  to state exchequer but many politician, law enforcing agencies, and tax men creates their own empire and finally the tax payer is the worst sufferrer.Any how the film is worth seeing.Ravi Sharma
