This temple, located inside the Gurudham crossroads of Bhelupur police station, is about 200 years old. This temple was built by Maharaja Jai ? Narayan Ghoshal in 1814 AD. It is said that once people got freedom from life by attaining God from Guru and getting yoga from God. It is said that this temple used to be the largest yoga temple of Tantra Sadhana of the 18th century.This is the first unique Zero temple in the country. It has octagon. Many mysteries are hidden in the three-storey temple built with the view of yoga and tantra practice. Historians even today are beginning to learn these secrets about what practices of the last tantra and yoga, from which a person attained salvation.


? There were 84 pillars in this temple, after which it was also called the Octagon Temple.


? One of the eight gates of the temple was Guru Dwara and the remaining seven gates were known as Saptapuris.


These names were Ayodhya, Mathura, Maya, Kashi, Kanchi, Avantika and Puri.


? The lower floor of this temple has 32 stone pillarsoutside the sanctum sanctorum, while the sanctum has 24 pillars.


? The roof of Gurudham temple rests on 53 joists.


? There are four doors in the three floors of the sanctum sanctorum and 32 pillars verandah for yoga practice are located in the rear of the temple.


? There are also six small stone poles, which were usually used for silent practice.


? At present, the original form of the temple is still safe and preserved, but still some part is fragmented.


This temple is the hidden gem of varansi , this place giving you a peace , must visit ,


And you don’t need to pay entry charge , it’s free of cost entry,


But remember it’s place open only monday to saturday ,
