Recently I had a chance to travel through Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport.
Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport - is a small airport where only limited number of flights operate from Kolkata, Mumbai & Delhi. Unlike the big airports this one is nicely maintained and well managed. the walking area and the waiting although being smaller in size is well maintained. I won’t say its the best airport but yes can be rated as one of the good airports in India. In the other airports where we find lots of traffic and which need time to complete the process sometimes with very heavy number of fliers the waiting time at the boarding counters and check-in lines makes one frustrated, but here due to lesser number of fliers the time taking is very very less. In an average it takes around 30-40 mins in the normal airport from the entrance gate to security clearance, but here the time involved was just 15 minutes. The counter staffs and other people were very very courteous and helpfull.
I think the other airports should send their person here for sometime to see and learn from them.
