PYG OUT !!!

Went to Gypsy Chinese last weekend with family to celebrate my aunt’s b’day...we were a group of 8 (including a little kid...my nephew...)...

We decided to order soups and starters for the adults...and chicken chopsuey for the kid to keep him busy and stop him from jumping on the chair !

Since 2 of our gang were veggies, we went for veg starters (I think it was shanghai babycorn...) and I had the hot and sour soup which was quite yummy (except I think there was slightly higher amount of soya sauce...)...the starters also were very good...fried babycorn basically....

For the main course, we ordered veg fried rice, veg hakka noodles, chicken in green garlic sauce, vegetable something (cannot recall the names...)...the chicken in green garlic sauce was very good....and then since the kid had only eaten 1/4th of his chopsuey - we split it between us...even that was very tasty...a little sweetish but yummy...the only problem was that it took them some time to serve our ’main course’...we had to wait quite a bit for it...probably b’cause the place was packed...

And now for the most sinful part - dessert...I’d thought of not ordering it...but since everyone was (and since my eyes fell on ’Sizzling Walnut Brownie’ on the menu...) I went it for it...and boy, was it sizzling...on a tiny hot plate covered in foil, they had kept the brownie...on top was a rather large scoop of vanilla ice cream and then the waiter poured hot chocolate sauce...and the whole thing made a sizzling sound...and it tasted even better than what it sounded !!! : ) a little guilty on eating that, but what the heck ! my cousins had lichies on crushed ice...which was also nice...the others had malai kulfi...which was the usual...

Since it was weekend, we had booked our table in advance...which was a smart thing to do...as it was pretty crowded...but we got the table as soon as we reached there...

The ambience is great...and has a service to match.... valet parking is also available...

I recommend this totally !!! have fun...

P.S.: For those of u who didn’t get my title...it’s ’’GYP’’ written backwards : )
