H2O as the name would suggest is all about Water and its effect on the body, mind and spirit.
Tucked away in the Royal Inn Hotel adjacent to the delicious Sheetal Bukhara restaurant on the hip and happening Linking Road is this cute little Pub, Disc, Lounge - Call it what you like but its a neat little Watering WHole(pardon the incorrect spelling here, but the correct word is dis-allowed on this site for obvious reasons) that you’ll be glad you visited.
As you enter, you are hit by the pulsating beat of the Music and the gyrating bodies of youngsters swaying in frenzy with gay abandon. Hazy smoke and psychedelic lights - it will take a moment for your vision to acclimatise to the dark and cascading waters on a wall at your left. Gives it a cool wet and blue look - all going well with the name and the ambience it endears to.
Good music - Good food - Good booze - Good mocktails - plenty of split level spaces to move around in and a small open air terrace for those who need a breath of fresh air from the smoky interiors.
This place starts to really rock after 12 midnight, so oldies like me (who are still young at heart) can have a great time shaking off their lethargy and reminiscing the good old times from about 8-30 pm to about 12 midnight when the youngsters nearly elbow you out.
There is also a cosy nook for those wanting to whisper the three golden words to their sweethearts after having downed a couple of stiff shots and mustering the courage to blurt out the inevitable.
Overall, a neat joint - thats moving and shaking and happening till 1-30am - cause thats the cut-off time before the cops start to badger you out and shut it down as per the current laws of Bombay.
