I had read about hairline in the newspaper and something about platelet rich plasma and hair growth and was curious to know as to what really happens with this method for hair growth. On consulting them they said that blood is drawn and centrifuged and platelets are concentrated and injected and hair becomes thicker and healthier and assures growth post 5 sessions.
I wanted to see some cases and on request I think they did make me meet a person who was undergoing this treatment at the time that I was there and I witnessed the entire procedure. It scared me a little bit the derma roller and all of that but I decided to take a leap since it did’nt require me to come regularly just once a month. I had tried almost every other place for hair loss but lost money so here I was again looking for an answer ... was scared of being cheated again ... but somehow the surgeon gave me the confidence and I felt like I was in safe hands.
Decided to take it up .. but before I could do that they asked me to get a scalp biopsy and some investigations done post which they would resume my treatment.Biopsy concluded that I had something called androgenic alopecia and TE ... something like that .. I mean thats what the report said. The senior doctor then asked me to get some investigations done and found that my ferretin was low and since I had a genetic case of baldness in the family I was pretty sure that they made sense of my problem. I think the doctor started me on prescription medicine and prp at the same time. I have completed one session so far and my hair loss has come down and in general the hair is not looking limp and some fine hair are visible so it looks good so far ... will tell you more as my treatment progresses... will keep all you people posted with the progress of my treatment .... whether it is a sham or not... I really want to believe that there are some real treatments for a change ... I hope these people don’t let me down
