On reading the other reviews I was surprised that Haldiram Chandni chowk is also a restaurant. The review is of course correct.
The location is very inconvenient, crowded, congested, etc.
If U dont already know that there is a restaurant above the mithai shop, U will miss it compeltely.
There is a sweet shop on ground floor and restaurant on first and second floow.
The food counter is on the first floor and the washrooms on the second. There are only 6-7 tables on the first floor. The staff is really nice between themselves that is. Towards the customers they are mostly ignorant but the food is nice. Its a clean place and better than eating standing at the roadside stalls(though the dahi bhalla and tikki roadside stall near by is uncomparable for the taste and is always crowded). Due to less space and no big restaurant being in the area it is always crowded.
Food we had thali-alright just enough for a single person.
Chhola bhutara - tasty but expensive not really good value for money.
Bhalla papri-yummy
manchurian-so-s0
raj kachori-good
Lassi- very good
Lots of people were also trying out the mocktails wihich looked quite colourful and appetising
Well there is mineral water and hot water too during winters so its really a worth visiting restaurant.
PS do not visit near new year and diwali because then the restaurant is closed for some days and only the mithai shops are open.
