ME,MYSELF AND THE CHICKS...

Though the book under consideration is the latest offering from Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul, its certainly not his best.Largely autobiographical it speaks of the life and times of one Willie Chandran. The first half of the book is interesting as it narrates the struggles of Willie.Willie is son of a castehindu and a lowercaste lady in india. After much trouble, he wins a scholarship to a highbrow college in England. While studying in England, he meets various characters. There is the perfumeseller with whom he fornicates.Strangely her boyfriend allows her to do so.There are people he meets in Notting Hill soirees.Willie comes to know ahem...Brecht was foul smelling. He publishes a novel after reading which an heiress comes into his life.

The second half of the novel speaks of Willie feminine conquests.Specially important is a deranged woman Graca. In the end, Willie leaves the heiress for a better life elsewhere.

Read this book to learn to write short pithy sentences.
