Half Girlfriend is a very good read.A sweet love story.From child sexual abuse to domestic violence, from corruption in Bihar to societal change – this book tries too hard.It will be lapped up by India’s youth.An avid reader can easily finish it in two-three sessions.the plot of "Half-Girlfriend" is much more than what it’s first impression tries to convey.His books have a particular formula, where he tries to make use of themes which depict Indians as they are.It is a story about a rural Bihari crude young man who cannot speak proper English but who conquers the world after his true love is shattered.This story has an interesting female character who is filthy rich but has real desires of being independent and absorbed in music and sports and be happy.The book is very stylishly divided into three acts – Act I in Delhi, Act II in Bihar and Act III in New York.The author made’Intuition’ a powerful element in the story.You may start believing your gut feeling after reading this novel.I found his "Half Girlfriend" simple and beautiful.It talks about Bihar, I don’t know how much of it is true but it gives some idea. How backward the state is and why I should be respecting my peers at work from Bihar because they have had harder times and still they made it.
