When I first read this book, I was just awestruck with which the author has binded me to the book. Chetan Bhagat, a person who made millions in India to fall for reading with his genuine and close to the masses writing has come up again with yet another marvel from his bag of tricks.
The story starts with a Bihari boy, Madhav(royal Prince from upstate of Bihar), a basket ball player, who has moved to Delhi university for his undergraduate course. There he meets Ria and instantly falls for her. Both the protagonists become close friends but Madhav was not happy with just friendship. He loved Ria throughout his college journey and admits to her but she doesn’t agrees to that and tells her that she will be his half girlfriend. Madhav finds it absurd but what choice does the poor chap has anyways.
The story moves forward in future where both of them graduates and Ria goes on taking a job and Madhav returns to his hometown and starts to take care of his mom. He starts a school and plans to take up in making the school a success. Fortune turns and their destined paths crosses again. This time for the betterment and things now turn up in to a classical Chetan Bhagat’s novel.
The story is a must read for all the people out there who don’t like to read as it just makes you feel good and wanting for more.
Overall a very good written story and amazingly written. Sharma you Chetan for making us imbibe the habit of reading.
