Chetan Bhagat is one of my favourite authors. His works always inspire me as well as the movies based on his books always make me feel good, except this one.
I wait a long time to watch Half Girlfriend on screen. But after seeing it, I am totally disappointed. Like the other movies - 2 States, Kai po Che, Hello, it also follows the story line but in the middle, in the end it has been slashed down.
Arjun Kapoor as Madhav Jha has done good job but I think Alia Bhat would be better than Shraddha Kapoor as Riya Somani. From the very begining, there was lack of expression in Shraddha. Also the director could not add up the emotion, expression in the whole movie. After watching the MOVIE, you will lost all the thrill that you gained after reading the real STORY.
Thanks to Mukesh Ambani for introducing Jio and its Summer Surprise Offer, & the Coolpad 3 lite as it has the 4g connection with which I downloaded the movie ( & instantly deleted it) . Else I would have a loss of 300/- if I would go to watch it in Multiplex.
A totally worthless movie although the songs Baarish and Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga are really good.
The 2 stars I’m giving for the acting of Arjun Kapoor & the songs.
