I felt that the movie was based on India’s clichéd attraction towards unrequited love stories. I did not read the book as I’m not a Chetan Bhagat fan, so I don’t know if it did any justice to it. But the movie was a complete waste of time.
Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have given better performances in other movies, but I felt that here they tried a little too much to convince the audience. Arjun tried a little too hard to play the awkward Bihari, while Shraddha for most of the movie tried to play Varun Dhawan from Student of the Year.
Moreover, this movie is all about Arjun’s character’s obsession with Sharddha’s character, under the pretext of "love", which the girl doesn’t want. I do not understand why our industry keeps on emphasizing that the being obsessed equals being in love. But the songs are pretty good.
