Madhav Jha(Arjun Kapoor) is a small village boy from Bihar who is in love with Ria Somani(Shraddha Kapoor) who is studying in college. Madhav is absolutely straightforward that does not know much good English speaking. When Rhea can speak English English. She is Delhi’s high-profile girl. Madhav Ria is in love with Rishi, while Riya wants to become her half-boyfriend. Will the domestic boy of Bihar and the high-rise girl of Delhi be able to extend her love .?
Some films have been made from Chetan Bhagat’s novel, such as’Three Idiots’, ’2 States’, and now’Half Gluffend’. The reason being that films from Chetan Bhagat’s novel are becoming the reason that the number of people reading their novels is very big. However, this novel released in 2014 was not highly appreciated.
Real fun comes when the native boy of Bihar falls in the love of Delhi’s modern girl. Viewers trying to convince Rhea will really enjoy it. Can you imagine if a boy has the right to speak English and if the girl is a master in English then what will he do? Both play basketball and musical part in keeping with each other. But Madhav’s Rhea attracts the attraction gradually. Madhav’s friend Shailesh(Vikrant Macy) warns him, but Madhav, who has become a stranger, does not seem to have seen anything.
One thing that Madhav says is that Rhea fears not giving a commitment. Dost Se Zayeda, Girlfriend Se kam Raviya, both Audiences and Madhav are tense. This is stretched to such a extent that the audience has the intention of leaving the movie in between.
Talking about Madhav, Madhav travels from Patna to New York for Riya. But in this, the audience looks more like a lover than chasing after the girl instead of feeling like a lover. Should not the girl who wants to stop her from showing the hero against the girl’s wish in Bollywood movies?
The first half of the film is run smoothly but after the interval, the movie is just a matter of time. Audiences get tired of seeing similar expressions on Arjun Kapoor’s face. Arjun’s work is good but he does not fit in the role of Bihari boy. On the other side, Shraddha Kapoor looks beautiful in the film but there is a lack of seriousness in her performance.
