Novel good, movie didn't met standard.

I have read the novel half girlfriend and it was mesmerising as it takes you into a fantasy world and you imagine the whole story in the mind which is like fairy tale. I loved the novel so my expectations for the movie were high as I wanted it to be somewhat as I has imagined.

Plot: the movie was based on a novel and when this happens you expect that what the novel was capable of pictorising the events movies also stand up to that expectation which didnt happen in this case. They covered about half of the novel in half hour of the movie and the rest half of the novel feels like stretched. Everytime they i.e. Madhav and Riya met it starts raining, which is out of the scope of my logic and novel. Many glitches and unable to present the magic of the story as in the novel.

Performance: The lead actors Shraddha as Riya and Arjun as Madhav were ok. Not too serious acting as from the side of arjun as he fails in my opinion to recreate the Madhav experience and it felt like unreal. Rest of the cast were ok not too great or not too bad.

Music: Songs in the movie are awesome and my personal favorite is Baarish and the one main phir bhi tumko chahunga. Rest were also good and the movie did a grat in the music front which helped the movie even reach this mark.

Cinematography: Not good at all as they tried to fully commercialise the movie giving more focus on materialistic aspect rather than the theme of the movie that is the intense love of the couple. They also ruined the visualisations of the story I had in mind after reading the novel as it was not even near what one was expecting from it.
