Dissapointing is the word I would say. From such a talented Director.Mr.Rajkumar Santoshi.
Halla Bol couldve been one hell of a ride. But as usual. The script is the culprit. The Drama hasnt been built consistently. So the after effects.which are really hard hitting.miss the punch.
Halla Bol is a story about a Top star, his life, personal & proffessional and how one incident brings a huge difference in his life.
An interesting story held by a supremely talented director and an impressive cast.Halla Bol sinks.
The story starts off well with showcasing Ajays character.his behaviour on the proffessional and the personal front. Then the girl getting shot in the party and the consequences then.arouse great curiosity. But the story dips big time down later(The flashback). Its too stretchy.and boring.
The film picks up post-intermission and is the best part of the film. The Ajay Devgan pissing sequence, Pankaj Kapur fight sequence, the swimming pool sequence.you expect fire works.but then.the climax is a major letdown. It doesnt have the power.
Halla Bol is an ill-written script which could be a winning one.if neccessary changes would have been made.
Rajkumar Santoshi does his best to elevate the film.but he falters badly due to the sadenning script.Better luck next time.
As said, the script is the culprit here.and so is the half-baked screenplay.
Music is nothing worth.
Dialogues are excellent.
Ajay Devgan is good in his part.but not as expected.
Pankaj Kapur is the only saving grace. An excellent performance by the ever saving and evergreen actor.
Vidya Balan has nothing to do.
At the end, Halla Bol.forget it.
