When we went to Hampi, Karnataka we stayed across the river Tungabhadra at a place called Shanthi Guest House. We heard about this place from a friend and were very eager to visit this place.
And when we went there, we weren’t disappointed at all. Shanthi guest house was really amazing with its cottage style huts, with all the basic facilities arranged in a neat fashion. The place was clean and wow ’green.’ Added to it were the green fields of the guest house owners, making it an amazing place to stay for a while, in a village like atmosphere. And the accommodation was delightfully reasonable and economical. Next time, you go to Hampi, do visit this place at least for a day.

To visit Hampi, you can go on a overnight journey from Bangalore or Hyderabad to Hospet. And from there it is hardly an hour to Hampi. Cross the river, which you can do so on a boat and then ask any one where is Shanthi Guest House. It is at the far end of the fields as you walk along other guest house that have sprung up to cater to increasing tourists
