Now to begin with let us start up and think what is Stress?. The dictionary definition is astate of mental or emotional strain or suspense. Well one can argue that there are some people who never ever feel any stress and there are others who are easily stressed. I agree with this point of view. It is all in the head. You can browse the net and you will see that there are so many articles on how to manage stress and what to do when you are stressed. I believe that the root cause of stress is people and events around you. You can make up your mind and say well that person does not bother me and whatever the outcome of this deal I am still going to get through it. I believe that there are so many little things that a person can do to handle stress that one review is not enough to describe even half of the things. I think and the end of the day you should make up your mind and say well this is it I am not letting these things get to me. I am in a job where every day is a day full of stress. I have targets I must meet on a daily basis and things to keep in check. However I make it a point to make sure that I do not get stressed. I do so by making sure that a certain time of the day is devoted to myself. I will iist below a few things that really help you at the end of the day and will make sure that there is no stress in your life
Movies, Music or anything nice
I have always been a big movie and music fan. I always maintain that there is not a person on this planet who does not like music. Just figure out what type of music you like and play a little bit of it in the morning and a little in the evening when you get back every day, it will do wonders for you. It helps you relax and take your mind of the rest of the world. I know of some people who just like the sound of the television running and eventhough they do not watch the telly they turn it on just so that they feel relaxed.
Friends
I think I have been blessed with really good friends. They help a lot. Just give them a call not matter what the reason they act like your personal shrink. Just speak to them and crack a few jokes they help.
Its all about the money
One of the major reason for stress in todays world is money. I know it would be easy for me to say its just money but yeah I have been there and I know how it feels to be financially insecure. Make good investments and save up enough money so that you know you are cushioned if there is a fall.
Love
A double edged sword this one. it can be the reason for your stress it can be the reliever of your stress. Anyone who has ever been in love knows how vital your lover is in times when you are stressed.(In my case you can read my review on songs for heartbreak LOL). But believe me if you are love do not fall out if it she/he will help.
Laughter the best medicine
Now I have a punchline which I will get patented some day and will reveal it in public for the first time today. Its very simple Levity in adversity TM. It is really difficult to maintain but trust me it is a habit that can be developed. Learn to just laugh at the situation. I know it does take a little bittle of dark humour but if you can develop the habit you will be a real stress buster for everyone around you as well. Even with your friends or colleagues learn to crack a few jokes and share a laugh or to.
Mental toughness
I feel one of the major areas where people loose out are, is that they do not acknowledge that they are not mentally tough enough. It is something you can only develop with time and maturity. Everyone is vunerable in his life but only people who accept that they can be tougher and work on it can truly make stress go away like water of the back of a duck. I mean it read books and motivational speeches toughen your self up mentally and the word stress will disappear.
