Man is lives a social mobile life.He grows interacting with all his senses and they become his experiences.
The most influencing is his interaction with felow human beings.As animals of a kind identify with its kind and birds with their group-the man identifies(Mougli n Tarzan excepting)himself with the race and group of men(mankind).
The psyche of the individual is chiefly how others see him andhow he allows the moulding to take placein him.Its a very personal and individual way of making ones own personality.
a) My earliest and the most powerful influence of base creation is of my parents.I have seen how they observe life/situations.The meaning of life was felt in seeing their day to day living.The strength of parenting -love, discipline, understanding and full trust, has made the persona in me stronger.They have been by far the most powerful influence on me.They brought in the meaning of a family, living together, loving easily everyone-what it is to be abrother, sister, father and mother and the complete unit-our family.
b)During the days of schooling, I recollect how a whole lot of teachers were involved in making something concrete out of us all.But let me mention the Gem of the em all.
I schooled in a convent and was never comfortable with natural sciences and later in the 9th and 10th std it was a hell going through the body of these subjects of botany, biology and zoology.God sent an angel in the form of Bro C.T.Paul, who made my last 2yrs of schooling an Awakening of sorts.He made me realise schooling and subjects were not about tests, exams, passing, merits and just classes;but a much bigger thing-that is openng my awareness attitude towards not only subjects but to all that I came across.Seeing the true meaning of going through the subjects and later life.Bro C.T.Paul was a true noble being to all of us.He lso helped bring in a great deal of certainity of skills in me, in Table Tennis, which I could excel.
c) My school mate Taher Maahi is another who lived and lives life with utter gay abandonment.He was a very hearty and naughtiest of all.He would miss assignments(hmework), exams, get thrashed, punished and still remain happiest in any given situation.
A wee bit fat and short, today the Gods in him have made him the chairperson of schools and colleges and also an owner of a local daily. I just cant fathom his position and roles-but even today he remains true to his orginal self-’made to be hearty and naughty and rolly polly’God makes certai people special .He is very special to us friends.
d)Hanumanth Rao Saab, who tutore us in mathematics.One who loved and adored our incompetence and non interest in the tutions and homework.
He would come home to give us tution in mathematics(would always say learn this and you can always beat America and Russia with one hand)but taught us much more outside of mathematics-about plants, about running fastest, about neat handwriting, about sittting erect, about clear voice, fearlessness, about telugu poet Vemana, Vivekananda, C Rajagopalchari, Radhakrishan;about cows, snakes, guavas(we had one prolific sweet tree in our compound) and lots more-in essense how to take a proper view of things.
I love recalling, how he put our manners back, saying, -’nai vijay baba aisa nahi’(no vijay not like this).Ah! my days of tutions under Hanumanth Rao Saab was so much full.
e)My youngest uncle, Mukund uncle(fathers youngest brother)senior to us by 30 years; a very successful businessman in chemical industry, has no hang ups of success.
His spirit and life much younger than ours.Full of zest like my mom and wife.
f) Another friend Rajagopal, by far the most well read;a true native of the soil-coming from a good, honest and simple background-from a medical rep to one of the best in DBA(data admn);making it out in Hyd cityand later abroad.
He is a honest man in dishonest world(people have taken advantage of his innocence and trusting nature).It is only this honesty which has taken him far and paid him the most.Here is a man who can tal about pathogens, lines of your palm, forehead, future from lines of the eye-iris(iridology), about halasana and sarvangasana, about Hitler, about warrior clans of Telangana and Marathas, about prose masalas houmas and endless many things.Time flies with him around.
g) My friends from Pune Univ days, Clinton Menezes, Stanley John, Sunil Misar and Krishna Kumar Menon(Kay Kay Menon of Sarkar movie).
Clinton a very solid individual, studious, brave ready to dare the V.C. or anybody for any colleague.(he died unfortunately in a road accident durin our last semester).Stanley John a tetotaller and fantastic friend.Anyody on earth can trust this guy anyday.Nothing wrong can ever touch this guy .What a make!.Sunil Misar who has a very sharp mind, ;precision in mind and motives, today Senior HRD manager in a major Organisation.Absolutely trustworthy.Krishna Kumar Menon, soft hearted, therefore strong, good singer, believes everyone.Overcomes personal sad moments in life, dramatised AB in plays and today acts with him.Sings well-Md Rafi fan.He has allowed life to do its bit.Not one to challenge life .Never one to expect.And life did its good bit for him.
h)Sensei Kumai, from Okinawa Japan for showing what means a tea ceremony;eating food in away which is a prayer and not for filling up hunger.One who demonstrates and lives impeccably .For him life is a respect to all.He is very orderly and purely about everything.Very heavily built, but absolutely light and fast .Is a practitioner of a very tough form of martial art.
i)Nischal for introducing Mala Yuddha and VajraMushti, a north Indian combat martial art form. At a young age draws maturity and wisdom from his art.
j)My wife, living and showing;how easy it is to live life zestfully.Learning all the time.
k)My son, showing a maturity ahead of his age.Loving and ompassionate, naturally.
So as I see these associations and acquaintances have been a tremendous influence on my personality.All the experiences of life make the personality.
There is so much that life is interacting with us day in, day out.We need to see how muchwe are getting, really speaking;there is so much to admire of so many people who have given a lot than have taken.
Various people have shown various qualities of tremendous originality, and thus succeeded.
I am sure, if everyone honestly sits and searches whithin, his acquaintances and associatios, he will find more of good people that he got know than the negative ones.
So let us see our hearts set free and soar as high and far as the wind can take.God Speed.
