I found out about HII from my father who got to know about this from the radio. I attended the seminar and I was impressed, but I did not feel the necessity to go. My father told me to go as next year of school has more subjects and stuff. I attended the HII programs of grapho-therapy and Excel in summer 2013. Grapho-therapy has things to do with handwriting and personality. I learned how to write faster and a few personality traits in handwriting.
I learned how to write in a way that I get a good personality. It changed me and it was worth all the time and money. This course can extend up to 3 months. Next, I attended the Excel program. This was the nearly worst course or program anyone could ever attend. Excel course is a one week course where you learn memory techniques and some morals and stuff. It was very time consuming, they would not complete the class on time. Why couldn’t they complete the class on time?
Because the whole time was spent in jokes and making fun of students. Rafiullah Baig (Rafi sir) was wasting half of the time in making fun of students who make the smallest mistakes. One day, someone’s phone rang and Rafi sir made a terrible scene. It was really sad... we were supposed to be let out of the class at around 6:30 pm quiet late already! But they leave us out at 7 pm. What’s worse is I live far away from the place the course takes place. So, I come home at like 8:55 pm, they also give assignments and I needed to stay up for a very long time and it was really very hard!
Rafi sir taught me some really good things, but he was too much into the money, at my point of view. There is another 3 month course called Excel Plus. You need to pass an interview and pay Rs.14, 000/- if you pass. Then you will join Excel Plus. Half of Excel was spent in praising Excel Plus, trust me, even more time than the jokes. Excel needs to be taken up by the individual to join Excel Plus. I was literally fed up of this praising. You will be having 3 follow up sessions after completing your courses. You will also graduating in grapho-therapy.
I had attended the Excel follow up session and it went pretty well, but they showed us a video tape of an Excel Plus adventure camp as Excel Plus takes up a lot of co-curricular activities into account and I wanted to leave immediately. I wanted to literally leave it was really upsetting to come to a place which is really far away from where you live and waste one hour of your life for something you’re so fed up of. Too much marketing!! I went for my grapho-therapy graduation and the program was from 10 am to 12:45. My father had come along with me and we had some urgent work on that day. We thought "oh, okay, it will finish then, we will have time." But NO!
They wasted 2 hours in having people come up on the stage and tell their "greatest" and "I would have been thinking of suicide if I didn’t join HII courses" type of things. Then the introduction of all the handwriting instructors. It was already 12:45 and they were still half way in the HII changed my life thing. One single person wasn’t graduated yet. Me and my father left the place immediately.
We can’t sit there forever instead of doing the work we had, can we? We made up our minds and left. This was a lovely experience but the marketing, money eating, praising and time wasting was not a nice thing.
