Frank Peretti’s Hangman’s Curse is a sensational read. It is both suspense and thriller in an easy to read format, with illustrations before each chapter. You get a mind’s ’eye view’ of what each character is seeing as you go into each new avenue of the story. Although this book was aimed at youth in today’s schools, it is very entertaining and educational for parents. {adults}. Offering millions of books in today’s genre market, Peretti will continue to stay in top form. Wonderful reading.

Hangman’s Curse: {just enough detail}

There is a family who travels to schools and investigates strange happenings. These happenings do not have clear cut answers. What great news. The president of the United States has hired a special task force, The Springfields, to go under cover, and supply answers to these problem areas. If you have ever felt separated from the special peer groups at school, or in general, any time in life, this book speaks to you. Peretti has had difficult time growing up and gets between the kids of Baker High and helps you to see what is going on.

The Springfields:

The Springfields are a unique family composed of parents and two teenagers. The teens are twins, boy and girl. They infiltrate the school, along with mom and dad, and become part of Baker High and a particular haunting that is effecting the kids. The famed Baker High football team is losing potential winners of its team. They are seeing ghosts, hearing voices, and ending up in comas. And, the kids of Baker High are afraid to go into The Forbidden Hall, where this particular ghostly noise is busy.

An adventure:

Frank Peretti takes you along for the adventure, inspecting hidden areas of the school, hearing what the kids hear, and seeing Abel Frye, the ghost. Where did he come from? Why do ’scratched’ hangman drawings appear on certain lockers of certain kids? If it isn’t drugs, than what? Go with the Springfields to Baker’s High and walk the halls and find out. This book is a great fact finder for kids and parents. And the writer, Peretti, is in demand in both Christian and secular reading circles. He is also the author of great adult entertainment in suspense reading.

Great gifts for:
